Michael Kors’ Colby is the only bag you need this spring

In the early 80s, fresh off his job working retail at NYC boutique Lothar’s, Michael Kors set out with a mission to launch a womenswear label. Over the last four decades, alongside establishing himself as a quintessential American name, his eponymous brand’s accessories have become a fan favourite.

Now, released as part of the Spring-Summer 2024 collection, Michael Kors’ Colby Bag is the American label’s newest accessory to take the spotlight. A light, travel-size handbag with a leather strap, the bag features dual front pockets completed with a statement buckle.

“For me, the most enduring pieces are the ones that combine style and pragmatism,” explains Kors, speaking on the bag. “The Colby is both utilitarian and luxurious at the same time—all the things I look for in a timeless design.”

Available in multiple designs and colourways, the bag is available in a variety of materials including neoprene and soft calf hair to smooth leathers in vibrant neons, muted neutrals and classic monochrome.
